Sending medals for mounting?
It could not be easier to have your medals mounted by Empire Medals. Select the number of medals and any additional service above, add to your basket and complete your order. We will then send you an email with your order confirmation number along with our address and full instructions about how and where to send your medals. Once your medals have arrived, we will email to let you know and then again to let you know when they have been sent back.
Full Size medal mounting service 'Swing' Style. Medals that you purchase or send to us will be mounted together on a pin. The term 'Swing Mount' refers to the fact that the medals will swing freely when being worn. This style of mounting is traditionally but no exclusively used for WW1 & WW2 medals.
Medals are professionally mounted on a brooch bar using a variety of embroidery techniques and swing freely from the bar producing a handsome display of your medal or group of medals ready to be worn. The brooch bar has a secure pin on the reverse to be attached to your garment.
Our team of skilled seamstresses use a variety of hand sewing techniques to professionally mount your medals. Our service includes the replacement of ribbon and the cleaning of your medals.
Cleaning military medals can be rather messy, particularly when they have become tarnished over time. We assess every medal based on the material and state and use the most appropriate method to clean your medal. We have a sophisticated metal dipping process in addition to our Ultra Sonic washing machine - that said, something good old fashioned elbow grease is all we need! All of this included in our medal mounting cost.
